Meet Our Doctors

Donald Curia, DDS

Dr. Donald Curia was born and raised in the San Carlos-Redwood City area. He graduated from San Carlos High School in 1972 and attended College of San Mateo and San Francisco State. Dr. Curia graduated from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1982 and has been practicing in San Carlos ever since.

Since his graduation, Dr. Curia has continued his studies, completing the program at the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education (F.A.C.E.). In this curriculum he learned advanced techniques in the restoration of the dentition, treatment of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and cosmetic dentistry. He later returned to UCSF School of Dentistry and participated in a mini-residency program for the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and University of Pacific’s mini residency for sleep apnea.

Dr. Curia’s philosophy is simple:

“Offer all of his patients the best dentistry available and treat them as family.”

Beverley Chiang, DDS

Dr. Beverley Chiang grew up in Foster City, California. Her childhood was spent playing piano, painting, and traveling with her family and friends. She attended Hillsdale High School, where she ran cross country/track & field and devoted time to researching Cystic Fibrosis at Stanford School of Medicine. She graduated from UCLA (Go Bruins!) with a degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology.

Immediately after graduation, Dr. Chiang attended dental school at University of California, San Francisco. She spent her time providing care for the underserved, volunteering in mission trips, and researching 3D imaging applications. 

With a desire to expand her knowledge and scope of dentistry, Dr. Chiang completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. She received extensive training in multiple disciplines of dentistry including endodontics (root canals), prosthodontics (implants and veneers), oral surgery (extractions), and pediatric dentistry.

After pursuing her education in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and East Bay, Dr. Chiang is extremely excited to be back in San Mateo. You can catch her exploring and running new trails or on the hunt for a great shrimp taco. She also enjoys playing boards game (Settlers of Catan is one of her favorites) and baking cookies.

Dr. Chiang strives to provide high-quality dental care that optimizes the patient’s overall dental health. Her goal is to advocate for preventative dentistry to decrease the need for future treatment. She wants to make every dental experience fun and as comfortable as possible, with her patients leaving with a brighter smile!
